Denver Police Department Advertising Campaign Images
"Jacom not only gained our trust, respect, and friendship, he created and produced the most amazing images. Our entire department is so proud of this professional and honest representation — the posters and marketing materials that we are producing are making a tremendous difference in communicating the honor of the Denver Police Department."
The Denver Police Department hired Jacom Stephens to create an image library for the department's various marketing, recruitment, and public awareness campaigns that will be rolling out over the coming years. They wanted us to capture the essence of what it is like to be a police officer… the heroism, skill, honor, integrity, loyalty, etc. and portray their officers in a polished, professional light.
They also needed accurate depictions of their training and day-to-day operations for all the various aspects of law enforcement in the Denver metropolitan area. That included the K9 bomb sniffing dogs and bicycle patrols at the Denver International Airport, their Air One support helicopter, the brand new state-of-the-art Crime Scene Investigation lab and mobile unit, their cadet training Academy, the gang unit, firearms training and certification at their modern indoor facility, equestrian mounted patrol, etc.
The scope of this shoot was quite broad with 19 different locations, over 115 different people photographed, and dozens of scenarios/topics covered over the nine days of shooting. Although the long hours and full schedule were very demanding, we had a great time working with Denver's finest and learning more about how law enforcement works.
“The reality for us is that the only time the general public hears news about the Denver Police Department is when it’s sensational or negative. We wanted our citizens to see that they can be proud of their police officers; that their tax money is spent prudently; and that they are safe in their community. So after doing our homework, we brought Jacom and his team to Denver to help us to accurately portray the integrity and compassion of our officers.”
“Watching Jacom interact with all of the officers and civilian employees was so interesting because I already knew they were apprehensive about what was going to happen. Our officers are highly trained… they stand tall and proud but Jacom quickly managed to scale those barriers by being personable, patient, and professional. Word soon spread and I started getting calls from other personnel who also wanted to be in on the fun of the photo shoot.”
“Jacom not only gained our trust, respect, and friendship, he created and produced the most amazing images. Our entire department is so proud of this professional and honest representation — the posters and marketing materials that we are producing are making a tremendous difference in communicating the honor of the Denver Police Department.”
