Denver Police Department Marketing Campaign
Denver, CO — The head of the Public Affairs Bureau at the Denver Police Department had seen some of the previous law enforcement and military imagery we had created for other organizations, and was very impressed. So they hired us to build an image library for their various marketing, recruitment, and public awareness campaigns that will be rolling out over the coming years.
The DPD wanted us to capture the essence of what it is like to be a police officer… the heroism, skill, honor, integrity, loyalty, etc. and portray their officers in a polished, professional light. They also needed accurate depictions of their training and day-to-day operations for all the various aspects of law enforcement in the Denver metropolitan area.
That included the K9 bomb sniffing dogs and bicycle patrols at the Denver International Airport, their Air One support helicopter, the brand new state-of-the-art Crime Scene Investigation lab and mobile unit, their cadet training Academy, the gang unit, firearms training and certification at their modern indoor facility, equestrian mounted patrol, etc.
The Chief of Police asked us that in addition to the necessary authority and force required to accomplish their jobs, that we also focus on the softer side and positive interactions with the public since the DPD has received some negative press in the past.
The scope of this shoot was quite broad with 19 different locations, over 115 different people photographed, and dozens of scenarios/topics covered over the nine days of shooting. Although the long hours and full schedule were very demanding, we had a great time working with Denver's finest and learning more about how law enforcement works.
Everything went very smoothly and we were able to create some incredible images for the DPD. In fact, they have already started building recruiting posters with inspirational quotes to line the hallways of their Academy. And before we even left town, the Denver Sheriff's Department and Denver Fire Department were asking when we could come back and do similar shoots for their organizations.

Club Fahrenheit Lifestyle Photos
Layton, UT — Club Fahrenheit needed fresh, new lifestyle images for their upcoming marketing campaigns. They chose to target a younger 20s demographic, and wanted the emphasis of the images to be primarily on the emotion of being at Club Fahrenheit--a fun, energetic social atmosphere. The secondary emphasis would be on the modern, hip location itself.
The club has colored LED accent lights throughout the facility that cycle through a series of different colors, so Jacom chose to emphasize the vibrant colors with gelled strobes.
Leveraging his years of expeience and naturally outgoing personality, Jacom was able to make the talent feel comfortable and loose, and draw out the emotions he needed from them to give the images a genuinely fun vibe.
